Importance of Decisions
Honor |
Throughout Krakauer's Where Men Win Glory, the importance of decisions is heavily focused on. For example, Pat Tillman says that “Many decisions are made in our lifetime, most relatively insignificant while others life altering”(174). Krakauer included this to remind his readers that each decision they make, large or small, is important.

Everyone who knew Pat Tillman described him as an honorable man. He firmly stood up for what he believed in and always was honest. The way that the Army handled his death would have infuriated him. The ideals of honor are implicated in multiple ways throughout the novel, prompting the readers to examine their own lives and ask if they themselves are honorable.
